Feeding Chile and the World:  We are moved by the purpose of contributing to the global challenge of increasing by 50% the productivity of food crops by  2050. This means to meet the demand of the growing population and contribute to reducing hunger in the world (today, over 820 million people suffer from hunger). We also want to contribute to the development of more nutritious and healthy food, and to mitigate the negative effects on crop productivity caused by events associated with climate change. In Chile, half of the soil has been lost to erosion and the droughts are getting worse. This motivates us to develop new, more resilient and sustainable crops that increase productivity, using less surface area. Resulting crops contain greater nutritional value, and are adapted to the edaphoclimatic conditions of each geography with a focus on Latin America. We want to deliver "Made in Chile" solutions for the country and the world.
